Subaru isn’t changing its Legacy sedan and Outback SUV much for the 2025 model year. The company is claiming that the vehicles’ base prices are the same as last year, which is technically true; their MSRPs are unchanged, but the destination charges rolled into the final price for both tick upward just a few bucks — $25 for the Legacy and $50 for the Outback.

For 2025, the Limited trim levels of both the Legacy and Outback gain a few popular options as standard equipment. The additional features include a power moonroof, heated steering wheel, driver attention monitor and the larger 11.6-inch Starlink infotainment touchscreen.

Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assistance technology suite is standard on both cars. It includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and lane-centering steering. Available equipment includes rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, blind spot monitors and emergency steering assist.

The base engine in the 2025 Legacy and Outback is a 2.5-liter flat-four that makes 182 horsepower and 176 pounds-feet of torque; a turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-four generating 260 hp and 277 pounds-feet is available. Both engines are mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.

The 2025 Subaru Legacy and Outback will arrive at dealers this spring. Full line pricing, including a destination charge of $1,145 for the Legacy and $1,395 for the Outback, is as follows:
