Overview of the 2025 Lotus Emira

The 2025 Lotus Emira represents a significant advancement in the automotive engineering landscape, being the last model from the historic British marque to incorporate a gasoline engine. With its innovative design and performance, the Emira sets a high standard within its segment.

New Engine Option for Select Markets

Lotus has unveiled the Turbo SE model, enhancing the existing offering with a formidable turbocharged four-cylinder engine that boosts horsepower from 360 to an impressive 400. This increased power output places it on par with the V-6 variant available in the U.S., which produces 400 horsepower. Furthermore, the torque rises from 317 to 354 pound-feet, ensuring a more exhilarating driving experience.

Performance Enhancements and Features

The Turbo SE model is not only about raw power; it also boasts significant performance enhancements, reducing its zero-to-60 mph time to just 4.0 seconds. The top speed has been elevated to 180 mph, indicating the capabilities of this new engine. Additionally, the Turbo SE is equipped with a stiffer suspension, improved brakes, and standard launch control, enhancing its track-ready capabilities. Custom visual enhancements, like the V-spoke forged wheels and unique badging, further distinguish it from its base counterpart.

Although Lotus has not confirmed plans to introduce the Turbo SE to North America, the excitement surrounding the model continues to grow, making it a notable consideration for enthusiasts in other markets.
