Chrysler Streamlines the 2025 Pacifica Minivan Lineup

Chrysler is simplifying the Pacifica minivan lineup for the 2025 model year by reducing the total number of trim levels from five to three. This restructuring aims to standardize equipment between the gas engine and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain versions. The Select is now the base trim level, replacing the 2024’s entry-level Touring and borrowing elements from the step-up Touring L. Additionally, the Select, and the top-tier Pinnacle trims, are available with either powertrain options, while the mid-level Limited is exclusively offered with the gas engine.

Powertrain Specifications and Fuel Efficiency

The gas engine in the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica is a 3.6-liter V6 that delivers 287 horsepower and 262 pounds-feet of torque. It is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, with all-wheel drive (AWD) as an optional feature across all trims. Though official EPA numbers for 2025 are not yet available, similar figures to the 2024 model are expected: 19/28/22 mpg (city/highway/combined) for FWD and 17/25/20 mpg for AWD.

The PHEV variant uses the same V6 engine, adjusted for better efficiency and supplemented with two electric motors. This powertrain is only available with a continuously variable automatic transmission and FWD, generating a total of 260 horsepower. The 2024 version of this model boasted a 32-mile all-electric range and a 30-mpg combined rating once the gas engine was engaged, facilitated by a 16-kilowatt-hour battery pack.

Standard Safety and Trim Level Features

Safety remains a cornerstone for the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica, which comes with standard safety features such as forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and rear parking sensors with automatic braking.

The base Select trim includes LED front lighting, a power liftgate and sliding doors, keyless entry and start, remote start, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Interior features comprise synthetic leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, Chrysler’s flat-folding second-row Stow ‘n Go bucket seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, six speakers, and second-row window shades. The 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and satellite radio.

The Limited trim, available only with the gas engine, adds a hands-free power liftgate, dual-pane panoramic moonroof, and Nappa leather upholstery. This trim also includes a power-adjustable front passenger seat, ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, rear ambient lighting, and third-row window shades. The Limited’s infotainment system is enhanced with navigation and a 13-speaker Alpine sound system.

The range-topping Pinnacle trim, available with both powertrains, features hands-free power-sliding doors, an integrated vacuum (gas engine variant), quilted Nappa leather upholstery, a Blu-ray player, and 10.1-inch touchscreens with Amazon Fire TV for Auto. It also includes automated parking, a 360-degree camera system, and either a 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo (gas variant) or a 20-speaker setup (PHEV).

Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica is expected to be available for purchase later in 2024. Pricing details will be announced closer to its release date.
