Ducati’s Financial Milestone

Ducati has successfully capped off 2024 by surpassing the impressive €1 billion revenue mark for the third consecutive year. The iconic Borgo Panigale brand closed the year with €1,003 billion in earnings. This figure represents a slight dip from the previous year’s €1,065 billion, especially considering the prevailing challenges within the global motorcycle industry, where demand for new bikes has considerably waned.

Performance Overview

Despite these challenges, Ducati’s operating profit (EBIT) reached €91 million, translating to a profitability margin of 9.1%. Although this is just shy of the 10.5% profitability achieved in 2023, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali expressed optimism, stating, “We enjoy a solid financial base that allows us to continuously and significantly invest in research and development, innovation, and racing competition. This is key to strengthening the uniqueness and prestige of our product range.” This commitment to quality is evident in the number of motorcycles delivered, totaling 54,495 in 2024, compared to 58,224 the year prior.

Future Prospects

Looking ahead, Ducati plans to unveil a range of new models for 2025, including exciting additions like the XDiavel V4, Multistrada V4, and the Panigale V4. Furthermore, the company is also venturing into the off-road segment, introducing its first motocross bike, with another in development and plans for a road-legal enduro model on the horizon. Chief Financial Officer Henning Jens noted that while overall sales are down slightly, this aligns with Ducati’s philosophy of preserving the exclusivity and value of its products for passionate clients.
