Enhanced Flexibility and Access

This program allows Porsche owners to easily find, connect, and pay for charging through the Porsche app. Moreover, it consolidates charging fees into a single monthly bill for all participating locations. Alongside ChargePoint, the network includes EVgo, EV Connection, EVGateway, Ionna, and Electrify America, providing ample choices for users.

Subscription Details and Benefits

Those utilizing Electrify America can benefit from 30 minutes of free charging per session, which is sufficient to charge most Porsche EVs to 80%. Although ChargePoint does not offer free-charging advantages, the subscription remains attractive for many users. Porsche offers this service free for up to three years on certain new vehicle purchases. Afterward, a premium plan with a one-year contract is available for , unlocking full access to the network.

Timo Resch, CEO of Porsche North America, expressed that this milestone is vital for enhancing the electric vehicle (EV) experience, acknowledging the importance of flexibility and choice for customers. While Porsche faces challenges with waning EV demand and fluctuating profit margins, the expanded charging infrastructure is a beneficial development for current Porsche EV owners.
