Introduction to the 2025 Bronco Sport

Ford has announced a slew of exciting updates for the 2025 Bronco Sport, aimed at enhancing its off-road capabilities. The rugged crossover SUV has always packed a lot of all-terrain prowess into a compact package, but the new changes promise to elevate it further, distancing it from constant comparisons to its larger sibling, the full-sized Bronco.

The Sasquatch Package: A Game Changer

One of the most significant updates is the introduction of the Sasquatch off-road package, which was previously available only on the full-sized Bronco. This new package includes a twin-clutch rear-drive unit and a locking rear differential, both of which were exclusive to the Outer Banks model before. With these additions, the Bronco Sport trims, including Badlands and Outer Banks, are now more capable than ever. Additional hardware improvements include Bilstein rear shocks, replacing the standard monotube off-road dampers, to provide a broader range of capability at higher speeds. The package is completed with 29-inch all-terrain tires designed by Goodyear specifically for the Bronco Sport.

On the Trail: First Impressions

We had the opportunity to test drive the newly equipped Bronco Sport at one of Ford’s Off-Roadeo locations, designed to offer Ford vehicle owners a hands-on experience of their vehicle’s capabilities. The brief drive demonstrated the enhanced robustness and off-road performance of the crossover. While the first impressions are promising, a more extended test drive will give a fuller picture of its capabilities.

Conclusion

The 2025 Bronco Sport, with its new Sasquatch off-road package, stands to redefine its place in the market. No longer in the shadow of its bigger sibling, the compact SUV now boasts features that make it a formidable option for off-road enthusiasts. The updates are a clear indication that Ford is serious about making the Bronco Sport a top contender in the rugged crossover segment.
