General Motors (GM) announced the introduction of the 2025 Chevrolet BrightDrop 400 and BrightDrop 600, leveraging Chevrolet’s extensive commercial vehicle sales and service network. Though technically not new models, these electric vans offer significant advancements in terms of features and performance.

The FWD models, featuring a single motor, generate 240 horsepower and provide a range of 159 miles (for the 400) to 164 miles (for the 600). Charging options include a DC fast charger capable of replenishing up to 120 kW, and a Level 2 AC charger which supports up to 19.2 kW for AWD models.

Modern Interior and Advanced Technology

The interior of the BrightDrop vans is designed to be modern and driver-friendly. The dashboard includes an 11.3-inch infotainment screen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, supplemented by an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster. Additional features include automatic climate control, a heated seat, a heated steering wheel, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors. In terms of safety, the vans are equipped with numerous driver-assistance technologies such as forward-collision alert, automatic emergency braking, park assist, and lane-keep assist.

Availability and Dealer Support

While pricing details are yet to be announced, GM has stated that the BrightDrop vans will be sold exclusively to fleet customers. All Chevrolet dealerships meeting specific requirements will have the opportunity to sell and service these advanced electric vans, helping to ensure that customers receive comprehensive support and service.
