Goodbye Charging Anxiety!
Exciting news for Kia’s electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts! After a brief four-month delay, Kia has officially unlocked access to Tesla’s extensive supercharger network, easing those pesky charging anxieties. With the most reliable public fast charging network in the U.S., Tesla is paving the way for worry-free road trips.

A Supercharging Advantage
Did you know Tesla offers more than 21,500 DC fast charging ports through its supercharger network? That’s right! Not only does this mean increased convenience for Kia drivers, but it also contributes to an impressive total of over 40,000 charging ports available for both electric vehicles and their drivers.
What This Means for Kia Owners
The 2025 EV6 and 2026 EV9 models proudly feature the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, making it easy to plug into Tesla’s supercharger stations. For those driving earlier models of the EV6 or EV9, don’t fret! A handy NACS-to-CCS adapter makes access to Tesla’s charging stations a breeze.
This integration also allows Kia drivers to find and navigate to Tesla superchargers via the infotainment screens or the Kia smartphone app, all while keeping tabs on charger availability, status, and pricing. Just remember, enrollment in the Tesla charging program is required—no procrastination allowed!
In a world increasingly reliant on electric vehicles, accessibility to dependable charging cannot be overstated. As Kia America states, “Tesla superchargers are critical infrastructure,” and their collaboration with Tesla is set to enhance travel for Kia customers in more ways than one. So, charge up and enjoy the open road!
