An Overview of the Nissan Energy Charge Network

Nissan has unveiled an innovative EV charging solution aimed at enhancing the experience of electric vehicle owners. The newly introduced Nissan Energy Charge Network is designed to simplify the process of locating and paying for public charging. This initiative comes as Nissan continues to invest in its electric vehicle lineup, including the recently launched Ariya SUV.

Features of the Charging Network

The Nissan Energy Charge Network is integrated with the MyNissan app, allowing users to efficiently find charging stations, check charger availability, and manage payments. Beginning in November, owners will have the ability to store a default payment method and initiate charging sessions with a simple tap on the app. This seamless experience represents a significant advancement in making electric vehicle ownership more accessible.

Partnerships and Expansion Plans

Nissan has partnered with several prominent EV charging providers, including Electrify America, Shell Recharge, ChargePoint, and EVgo, to facilitate this extensive network. The alliance boasts access to more than 90,000 chargers nationwide, indicating Nissan’s commitment to expanding the infrastructure for electric vehicles. Although owners of the Nissan Leaf will not benefit from this app functionality, they can still utilize the NissanConnect EV and Services app to locate public charging stations. Nissan also anticipates future collaborations with additional charging networks, further broadening access for all EV owners.
