Porsche’s collaboration with Michelin has produced a model-specific version of the Pilot Sport Cup 2 performance tires, marking the second time the automaker has created new tires for this model since 2013. According to Porsche development driver Jörg Bergmeister, the introduction of the new tires significantly benefits the driving experience. He stated, “The new tires do not just make the Carrera GT faster, they also make it easier for the driver to pilot the car in a spirited manner.” Additionally, these modern tires improve stopping distances—reducing them by up to eight feet from 62 mph and an impressive 39 feet from 124 mph.
