Powertrain Specifications

The 2026 RAV4 will exclusively offer hybrid power, diverging from traditional gasoline engines. This marks the first instance where a RAV4 is available with a hybrid engine in front-wheel drive, delivering 226 horsepower in front-drive configurations and 236 horsepower with all-wheel drive. The plug-in hybrid variant will produce 320 horsepower, enhancing the power efficiency with a claimed electric-only range of up to 50 miles, attributed to advanced battery technology.

A Diverse Trim Level Structure

In addition to its new powertrain configuration, the 2026 RAV4 will showcase a comprehensive trim-level structure divided into core, rugged, and sport categories. Buyers can choose from seven distinct trims, including the revamped Woodland edition, designed for off-road enthusiasts. The sport trims will feature unique aesthetic elements such as two-tone paint and sporty suspension, allowing buyers to select a model that aligns with their lifestyle.

As we approach the release date, more information regarding pricing and additional technology upgrades, including Toyota’s innovative operating system and safety tech, is expected to emerge, further positioning the RAV4 at the forefront of hybrid SUVs.
