New Engines for Enhanced Performance
Yamaha has unveiled a series of exciting enhancements to their sporty urban scooters—the XMAX 125 and XMAX 300—for 2025. The most notable change? Both models now feature Euro5 compliant engines, ensuring not only better performance but also a nod towards sustainability. The A2 licence-friendly XMAX 300 boasts a claimed output of 27.6 bhp, while the faithful XMAX 125 has a respectable output of 12.1 bhp, catering to those with just a CBT certificate.
Advanced Features for Urban Riding
If you’re navigating through the city, the new stop/start technology on these models will be your best friend when it comes to saving fuel. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg—Yamaha has also introduced the premium Tech Max models in both engine sizes, loaded with cutting-edge technology for the new year. Riders can now enjoy an electric up/down front screen with a 95mm range of motion. Adjustments are a breeze, thanks to a conveniently placed switch on the left switchgear.
Tech Savvy Connectivity
The updated XMAX scooters are not just about style; they also bring a new level of connectivity to the table. The 4.2-inch colour TFT display allows riders to pair their mobile devices, providing notifications for calls, messages, and emails. It’s the perfect companion for your urban rides, helping you stay connected on the go. The XMAX family was first launched in Europe in 2004, and since then, it has sold over 166,000 models across the continent and more than 248,000 in Asia. Now, with these updates, Yamaha looks set to continue that success into 2025 and beyond.
