Introduction

The 2025 Hyundai Kona is making a big splash with the introduction of new trim levels, enhancing its appeal and broadening its market. Starting at $25,745, the Kona family now includes the SEL Convenience and N Line S trims, designed to offer more choices to consumers. This blog post delves into the new features and specifications of the 2025 Hyundai Kona.

New Trim Levels

The SEL Convenience trim, previously part of the SEL trim as an optional package, is now its own distinct trim. This new addition includes enhanced safety features such as forward collision avoidance during turns and adaptive cruise control. Other features include heated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Wi-Fi, voice recognition, wireless phone charging, and Hyundai’s digital key.

The N Line S trim bridges the gap between the SEL and the N Line trims, incorporating the N Line’s appearance upgrades and some luxury features. It includes a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, 19-inch wheels, unique grille, front bumper, black mirror housings, twin exhaust outlets, sport front seats, ambient interior lighting, and metal pedals.

Powertrain and Fuel Efficiency

The 2025 Hyundai Kona offers two engine options. The SE, SEL, and SEL Convenience trims come equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 147 horsepower and 132 pounds-feet of torque, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The N Line and Limited trims feature a 190-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 195 pounds-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both powertrains are available with front-wheel drive as standard, while all-wheel drive can be added for ,500 across all trims.

Pricing and Availability

The 2025 Hyundai Kona will be available for purchase later in 2024. The pricing for each trim is as follows: SE: $25,745, SEL: $27,095, SEL Convenience: $29,295, N Line S: $30,745, N Line: $32,295, and Limited: $33,295.

Safety and Tech Features

Hyundai has equipped even the base SE trim with a wide array of safety features, including forward collision alert with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-centering steering, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, driver attention monitor, road-sign recognition, rear-seat alert, safe-exit warning, and automatic high-beams. Additionally, the SE comes with 17-inch wheels, LED lighting, keyless entry and start, remote start, six speakers, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As you move up the trims, more features are added, enhancing comfort, convenience, and safety. The Limited trim tops the range with automated parking, front, side, and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, reverse automatic braking, blind-spot cameras, synthetic leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an eight-speaker Bose stereo.

Conclusion

With the introduction of new trims and a host of features, the 2025 Hyundai Kona offers something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for enhanced safety, luxury, or performance, the new Kona trims have you covered. Stay tuned for its release later in 2024.
