Introduction of the New Base All-Wheel-Drive Variant

The 2025 Genesis GV60 is set to offer a new base all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant, starting at $53,700. Following the electric GV60 SUV’s launch for the 2023 model year, Genesis introduced a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) entry-level variant for 2024, which brought the base price down by more than $7,000. For 2025, Genesis aims to bridge the gap between the entry-level RWD model and the Advanced trim by offering this new base AWD option, while pricing for the carryover trims sees a modest increase of $350 from 2024.

Powertrain Specs and Range

The base GV60 comes equipped with a single electric motor driving the rear wheels, delivering 225 horsepower and 258 pounds-feet of torque, which Genesis claims is sufficient for a range of 294 miles (official EPA ratings for the 2025 model are pending). With an added front axle motor, the base AWD and Advanced trims offer a total of 314 horsepower and 446 pounds-feet of torque. The base AWD variant rides on 19-inch wheels and offers a range of 264 miles, whereas the Advanced trim’s 20-inch wheels reduce its range to 248 miles. At the top of the GV60 lineup is the Performance trim, featuring a combined power output of 429 horsepower and 516 pounds-feet of torque, with a boost mode providing bursts of 483 horsepower for up to 10 seconds. The Performance trim has an estimated range of 235 miles.

Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Genesis GV60 will be available later this year. The complete pricing lineup, including a $1,350 destination fee, is as follows:

RWD: $53,700
AWD: $57,200
Advanced: $62,250
Performance: $71,250

Safety Features and Trim Levels

The 2025 GV60 comes standard with a wide array of safety features including forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-centering steering assist, driver attention monitor, rain-sensing windshield wipers, front and rear parking sensors, and safe-exit assist. The entry-level RWD GV60 features 19-inch wheels, LED exterior lighting, a panoramic fixed glass roof, a power liftgate, heated auto-dimming mirrors with puddle lamps, and keyless entry and starting. Inside, it boasts synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging. The new AWD GV60 mirrors the base trim’s equipment save for the additional motor. The GV60 Advanced features 20-inch wheels, blind spot cameras, a 360-degree parking camera, automated parking, genuine leather interiors, ventilated front seats, and a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
