Porsche updated its Cayenne SUV for the 2025 model year. But with four powertrains available in 11 models spread across two different body styles — a traditional SUV and a fastback four-door SUV coupe . Actually, make that 13 models: Porsche has revealed the performance-focused Cayenne GTS, which is available in both body styles.

Higher-Output V-8
Like the Cayenne S, the GTS is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine. Here, the engine is tuned for an additional 25 horsepower and 45 pounds-feet of torque, bumping the totals to 493 hp and 487 pounds-feet, respectively. Porsche claims the twin-turbo V-8 can fling the Cayenne GTS from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 171 mph. Only an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are available.

Suspension and Powertrain Tech Trickles Down
The Cayenne lineup includes a range of outrageous high-performance models for increasingly absurd prices, one of which contributes critical tech to the GTS. The Cayenne Turbo GT donates its dedicated AWD system cooling circuit, which helps keep things at optimal temperatures during extended high-speed driving. Porsche also fits the GTS with front-suspension components from the GT, resulting in a sharper, more direct steering response. Additionally, the GTS rides on a standard adaptive air suspension with unique tuning, allowing it to ride 0.4 inches lower than other Cayennes.

Black GTS badging, a distinct front end with larger air intakes, tinted head- and taillights, and dark-gray 21-inch wheels hiding red brake calipers distinguish the GTS from the rest of the Cayenne family. The Sport Design Package, optional on other Cayennes, is standard and includes gloss-black rocker panels, wheel arch surrounds and window trim.

Standard equipment on the GTS also includes the Cayenne’s Sport Exhaust System, now with dark-bronze tips, and an adaptive rear spoiler. Three available Lightweight Sport Packages include various combinations of a lightweight roof, carbon-fiber rear diffuser and reduced sound insulation, which trim up to 55 pounds off the vehicle. Synthetic leather upholstery lines much of the GTS’s interior, including the headliner, armrests, door panels and heated steering wheel.
