Electrifying Success for BMW Group

In a world where critics often predict doom and gloom, the BMW Group is kicking back and sipping its victory martini. While Tesla might be nursing a hangover with a dip in global deliveries, the German automotive powerhouse is raking in electrified vehicle sales like nobody’s business.

Numbers That Spark Joy

In the second quarter, BMW Group showed a jaw-dropping 10.2% increase in overall electrified vehicle sales, hitting a whopping 161,462 units. And hold on to your hats, because the first half of the year doesn’t disappoint either, witnessing an 18.5% uptick with 318,949 units sold. Take that, rivals!

Name Second quarter 2025 Compared with previous year First half 2025 Compared with previous year

BMW 550,693 -2.6% 1,070,814 -2.3%

Mini’s Mighty Impact

Now, let’s talk about the real MVPs here: the Minis. One in every three new Minis sold is an electric vehicle, contributing to an impressive 17.3% increase in the first half of the year. As for plug-in hybrids? BMW Group is waving the victory flag with a phenomenal 28.9% year-over-year increase, selling 98,339 PHEVs. Who knew green could be so profitable?

Of course, the brand isn’t without hiccups. While electric vehicle sales boast impressive numbers, they did see a slight decline of 3% compared to last year. Still, with the all-new Neue Klasse models hitting the road soon, including the ix3 crossover, things are looking as bright as a freshly waxed car. These new models promise lightning-fast charging and a range that would make any road trip a breeze!
