Are you a California property owner or a stakeholder? If you’re ready to install Level 2 chargers at your multi-family digs or nearby tenant-accessible locations, this funding is for you! Forget about pesky deadlines; applications opened today at 9 AM PT and will run through January 9, 2026, at 5 PM PT. So, make haste, don’t let that charging opportunity gallivant away!
What’s Under the Hood?
Each Level 2 port can snag you up to $8,500! Plus, starting in October, the program will also offer an additional $2,000 for every publicly accessible Level 1 port. For our tribal communities, extra bonuses are in store—talk about a win-win! With an equity-first approach, projects serving disadvantaged and low-income areas will get pushed to the front of the line. Stacey Simms from Calstart sums it up perfectly: this initiative is breaking down barriers, so every Californian can go electric!
