The End of an Era for Norton Motorcycles

Norton Motorcycles have confirmed an exciting transition as they phase out their iconic models: the V4SV, V4CR, and Commando 961. This decision marks the end of a chapter for these revered motorcycles as the brand prepares to unveil its all-new range at EICMA in November. Fans of Norton can expect a thrilling future ahead, following the acquisition by TVS Motor Company in April 2020.

What’s Next for Norton?

As Richard Arnold, the executive director, aptly stated, “As one chapter ends, another begins.” The discontinuation of these beloved models opens up questions about what Norton’s next bike lineup will look like. The V4SV, known for its sporty edge, launched in 2022 and costs just over £30,000. Meanwhile, the V4CR, the current café racer, also released in 2023, sits at over £40,000. Lastly, we have the Commando 961, a nod to classic designs, introduced in 2023 and priced around £17,000.

Exciting Times Ahead

While collectors can still find a few end-of-production units, details are scant at this point, and we are eagerly awaiting Norton’s response on this matter. Moreover, Norton has ambitious plans to introduce six new models within the next three years, with the first set to launch by the end of 2025. The teaser of these future bikes adds to the anticipation surrounding this legendary brand, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store!
