Stellantis’s Strategic Move for EVs and PHEVs

In an exciting announcement, Stellantis confirmed that vehicles under the Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Fiat brands will remain eligible for federal credits even after the looming deadline expires. This move is part of Stellantis’s commitment to boosting sales while making electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) options more accessible for consumers.

Recent Sales Surge and Future Plans

Stellantis has made a notable comeback in the US market, selling 324,825 vehicles in the third quarter, marking its highest market share in 15 months. Leading the charge is the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, which has remained the best-selling PHEV in the U.S., with Stellantis reporting nearly 45,000 units sold in that time frame. With a range of models like the electric Jeep Wagoneer S and the Dodge Charger Daytona EV, the company’s commitment to electrification is evident.

What This Means for Consumers

For potential buyers, Stellantis is extending the federal tax credit offer for all EV and PHEV models, but with a catch—the offer applies only to vehicles currently in dealer inventories. This means it’s wise for interested customers to act quickly. Along with Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler, the Alfa Romeo Tonale, a luxury brand’s first PHEV, is also included. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to take advantage of these offers!
