2025 Chevrolet Equinox Priced From $29,995

Chevrolet redesigned its Equinox SUV for the 2025 model year.

Chevrolet says it updated the Equinox’s turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. While it still makes the same 175 horsepower and 203 pounds-feet of torque with all-wheel drive as it did for 2024, torque drops to 184 pounds-feet for front-wheel-drive variants. An eight-speed automatic transmission replaces the previous model’s six-speed automatic in AWD Equinoxes, and the front-drivers get a continuously variable automatic.

Fuel economy figures for the redesigned SUV aren’t available yet, but they aren’t likely to change much from 2024’s EPA-rated 26/31/28 mpg city/highway/combined for front-drivers and 24/30/26 mpg with AWD.

Trim Levels and Safety Equipment
All Equinoxes now include Chevy Safety Assist as standard. The suite of driver-assist tech includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection and automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and steering assist, following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Not lumped under the Chevy Safety Assist umbrella but also standard on every Equinox are adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat reminder and rear parking sensors.

Additionally, the LT includes 17-inch wheels, LED exterior lighting, a choice of chrome or black grille finish, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.3-inch touchscreen and available synthetic leather upholstery.

The uplevel RS and new Activ are divergent trims; the RS features a sleek, on-road performance look and the Activ is the soft-roader of the lineup. Both get unique black grilles, the Activ featuring additional metallic trim in the front fascia. The RS rides on 19-inch wheels, with 20-inchers available, while the Activ is fitted with 17s wrapped in all-terrain rubber. Contrasting roofs are available on both, as well — black on the RS and white on the Activ.

Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are also standard on the RS and Activ, with ventilated front seats and heated rears available. Each gets a unique interior treatment: the RS with red and blue contrast stitching and the Activ with brown and black two-tone upholstery.

Dealers are placing orders for the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox now; deliveries will begin later in the year. Full line pricing is as follows; AWD adds $2,000 to all trim levels.

LT: $29,995
RS: $34,395
Activ: $34,395
