The Lincoln Digital Experience is now standard on the Aviator and includes a 12.4-inch digital instrument panel and 13.2-inch touchscreen. It runs an Android-based operating system but is compatible with Apple CarPlay. Lincoln Digital Experience is designed to encourage drivers to use voice control rather than the touchscreen and allows users to download apps directly to the vehicle for use even without a connected smartphone.
The other big news is that the BlueCruise hands-free semi-autonomous system is now standard on the Aviator with four years of service. The system is limited to some 130,000 miles of divided highways that Ford (Lincoln’s parent automaker) has mapped in detail and claims represent 97% of the controlled-access highways in the U.S. BlueCruise can take control of the vehicle’s speed and steering so long as the driver stays on a premapped route.
While the Explorer on which the Aviator is based has a turbocharged four-cylinder as its standard engine, every Aviator is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 making 400 horsepower and 415 pounds-feet of torque; it’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Premiere and Reserve trims come with standard rear-wheel drive; all-wheel drive is an additional $2,500. AWD is included on the Black Label.
Official EPA fuel-economy ratings are not yet available for the 2025 Aviator, but they’re unlikely to change from 2024’s figures of 18/26/21 mpg city/highway/combined with RWD and 17/24/20 mpg with AWD.
Standard safety equipment on every 2025 Aviator includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering assist, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, emergency steering assist, traffic sign recognition, a 360-degree parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking.
The entry-level Aviator Premiere rides on 20-inch wheels and an adaptive suspension. It features LED exterior lighting, a panoramic moonroof, a power liftgate, and keyless entry and starting. Inside, you’ll find synthetic leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, three-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster, a 13.2-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless phone charging and 10 speakers.
Stepping up to the Reserve nets buyers 21-inch wheels, an Illumination Package that includes upgraded adaptive LED headlights that turn with the steering wheel and an illuminated grille badge, real leather seating in the first two rows and second-row climate controls.
The Black Label features 22-inch wheels, soft-close doors, Lincoln’s highly adjustable — and tremendously comfortable — Perfect Position front seats with massage and a 28-speaker Revel Ultima sound system. In addition to unique interior trim options and personalized assistance in outfitting their vehicle, Black Label customers also get access to a suite of concierge-like services, including four years or 50,000 miles of complimentary service and pickup and drop off of their vehicle for service, plus a loaner vehicle.
