Introduction of Raptor Badge

Since the launch of the first Ford F-150 Raptor in 2010, the Raptor badge has become synonymous with high-speed off-road prowess. While the F-150 Raptor leads Ford’s lineup in off-road performance, the Bronco Raptor and Ranger Raptor follow closely behind. Now, Ford is offering a new opportunity to push these models to higher limits.

New Software Calibration from Ford Performance Parts

Ford Performance Parts has introduced a new software calibration for the Ranger Raptor and Bronco Raptor. The upgrade boosts the horsepower and torque of the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine found in both models. For the Ranger Raptor, horsepower increases from 405 to 455, and torque jumps from 430 to 536 pound-feet. The Bronco Raptor experiences a similar boost, with horsepower and torque rising from 418 hp and 440 pound-feet to the same new levels.

Performance and Pricing

The enhanced output is expected to improve the vehicles’ acceleration times, with the Ranger Raptor previously clocked at 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds and the Bronco Raptor in 5.6 seconds. Additionally, the upgrades will lead to better throttle response and an ‘optimized shift schedule.’ This software calibration package is available for 5, including installation at dealerships. It is covered by a three-year, 36,000-mile Ford Performance Parts warranty.

Raptor Rally Event

Ford is also organizing a Raptor Rally—a one-day event at its Ford Performance Racing School in Fairfield, Utah, on September 21. The rally costs $500, allowing drivers to bring a guest. Attendees can expect an array of off-road drives, workshops, and opportunities to meet and ride along with professional off-road racers. Furthermore, Ford offers a 20 percent discount for drivers who register and attend the event.
