Overview of the Recall

Honda has recently announced a significant recall involving nearly 206,000 vehicles, specifically the 2023-24 Passport and 2023-25 Pilot SUVs. This recall arises from a potential hazard associated with the assembly of the fuel pipe, which could pose a serious risk of fire due to fuel leakage.

Potential Risks Identified

The affected models have been reported to have issues with the fuel filler neck tube and fuel filler pipe. If these components separate, there is a heightened risk of fuel leaking, which significantly increases the chances of a fire breaking out, thereby jeopardizing the safety of passengers and drivers alike.

Steps for Vehicle Owners

In response to this concern, Honda will conduct inspections and necessary repairs at no cost to owners. The company has committed to notifying those affected by this recall on January 6, 2025. Vehicle owners can seek assistance by contacting Honda at 888-234-2138. Additionally, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) can be reached at 888-327-4236 for vehicle safety inquiries and to check recall status via their website using the vehicle identification number.
