Exciting Developments in San Bernardino
EV Realty has just marked an important milestone with the groundbreaking of its first major truck charging hub in San Bernardino, California. This new site is strategically located near the San Bernardino intermodal facility, making it a prime destination for logistics and freight. With 60 million square feet of warehouse space and easy access to Interstates 10 and 215, this hub is set to cater to a bustling hub of medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

What the Charging Hub Offers
The San Bernardino hub will boast an impressive 9.9 megawatts of grid capacity, featuring 76 DC fast charging ports. Among these are unique megawatt charging pull-through stalls, specifically designed for big rigs. The facility is being developed to serve regional and short-haul fleet customers in the rapidly growing Inland Empire metropolitan area, which is home to nearly 17,000 trucks. This is a vital step towards enhancing the infrastructure needed for electric commercial vehicles.
Support and Future Plans
EV Realty’s California charging hub is not just a standalone project; it is backed by the South Coast Air Quality Management District and has secured a conditional award from California’s Energiize Commercial Vehicles Project, funded by the California Energy Commission. In addition, the company recently announced it has acquired an additional $75 million in growth equity from private equity firm NGP, with support from its management team. This funding will be instrumental in scaling its portfolio of powered properties, including the new hub scheduled to open later this year. With partnerships like the one established with Prologis, EV Realty is paving the way for a seamless charging experience for truck drivers.
