Fully redesigned for the 2025 model year, the all-new Infiniti QX80 wears new sleek but formal sheet metal and swaps its old normally aspirated V-8 engine for a more efficient and vastly more powerful twin-turbocharged V-6. The luxury SUV also gets a thorough tech upgrade, both in the cabin and in terms of standard and available safety tech.
Every 2025 Infiniti QX80 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6. It makes 450 horsepower and 516 pounds-feet of torque, increases of 50 hp and 103 pounds-feet over the outgoing QX80’s normally aspirated 5.6-liter V-8. The twin-turbo six is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the Pure and Luxe trim levels; four-wheel drive is available on the Pure and Luxe and standard on the Sensory and Autograph trims.
The new engine matches the old V-8’s efficiency on the highway but improves the city and combined figures 2 mpg. With RWD, Infiniti expects the 2025 QX80 to return 16/20/18 mpg city/highway/combined; 4WD drops each of those figures 1 mpg, to 15/19/17 mpg (official EPA ratings are not yet available).
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 goes on sale in July. Full pricing is as follows (all prices include $1,995 destination):
Pure (RWD): $84,445
Pure (4WD): $87,545
Luxe (RWD): $91,495
Luxe (4WD): $94,645
Sensory (4WD): $102,640
Autograph (4WD): $112,590
As trim levels have shuffled a little compared to 2024, the 2025 QX80’s base price jumps $8,300, but it features more standard equipment than before. Standard safety systems on the 2025 QX80 include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitors with steering intervention and trailer coverage, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, a driver attention monitor, automatic headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers and traffic-sign recognition.
Additionally, the entry-level Pure trim includes 20-inch wheels, full LED exterior lighting, a panoramic moonroof, hands-free power liftgate with kick sensor, and keyless entry and start. The interior is upholstered in synthetic leather, trimmed in aluminum, and features heated first- and second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, three-zone automatic climate control, a 14.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 14.3-inch touchscreen featuring Google Built-In with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging and a 14-speaker Klipsch audio system.
Step up to the Luxe trim level and you’ll get 22-inch wheels, ventilated leather seats in the first and second rows, increased adjustment for the front-row thrones, a remote-folding third-row seat and a head-up display.
In addition to standard 4WD, the QX80 Sensory features semi-aniline leather for the first- and second-row seats, massaging front seats, dark open-pore wood trim, adjustable ambient lighting and a 24-speaker Klipsch audio system with speakers in the front head restraints.
At the top of the line is the QX80 Autograph, which rolls on 22-inch wheels and is upholstered in quilted and stitched semi-aniline leather in all three rows. Second-row passengers get massaging seats and a climate-control touchscreen, while third-row occupants have heated seats. The Autograph also features unique open-pore ash wood trim with aluminum inlays, an in-car camera and Infiniti’s hands-free Pro-Pilot Assist 2.1 semi-autonomous hands-free driving tech.
