The Waffle House Legacy
In the heart of the American South, Waffle House has long been a beacon for weary travelers and breakfast aficionados alike. With its neon lights aglow and comforting grub, it’s a haven for those needing a breakfast fix. If you find one closed, perhaps it’s time to rethink your travel plans!

Charging Ahead: A Partnership with BP Pulse
Excitingly, Waffle House is embarking on a new venture: adding electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging stations to its restaurants, thanks to a partnership with BP Pulse. Starting in 2026, Waffle Houses across the nation will be equipped with 400 kilowatt fast-charging stations. These will cater to both Tesla and non-Tesla EVs, making it a convenient stop for anyone breaking up with gasoline. As Sujay Sharma, CEO of BP Pulse, aptly noted, this collaboration is a remarkable step forward in making EV charging more accessible, combined with the unbeatable charm of Waffle House.
A Charging Experience Like No Other
No longer will charging your EV mean enduring isolation at a gas station. Now, while your car rejuvenates, you can indulge in delectable delights like waffles, biscuits and gravy, or a hearty patty melt. This innovative approach is rooted in the understanding that charging stations need to offer more than just electricity—they should provide the comforts of home. As David Repp, Waffle House’s Director of Innovation, exclaimed, “Charging up while fueling up on an all-star special will be convenient and fast!”
The signature Waffle House experience is poised to include the kind of “easy vibes” that remind us all: if the Waffle House is open, everything’s just fine. So, here’s to flipping waffles and charging EVs—a combo that truly reflects the best of Southern hospitality and innovation!
