Entering its fourth model year, the Infiniti QX55 is unchanged for 2025. The 2025 Infiniti QX55 will arrive at dealerships later this month. Full line pricing (including $1,350 destination) is as follows:

Luxe: $51,500
Essential: $56,450
Sensory: $60,000

The QX55 is only available with a single powertrain: a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission; all-wheel drive is standard. But that engine is unlike any other engine in the world; Infiniti’s parent company, Nissan, calls it the VC-Turbo. VC stands for variable compression, which means this 2.0-liter can do what no other engine can: It effectively adjusts the travel length of the pistons in milliseconds. For something made of heavy metal pieces spinning at thousands of rpm

Marvelous as the engine is, though, the results are underwhelming. The point of varying the compression ratio is to create more power without sacrificing efficiency — or to realize greater efficiency without sacrificing power, if you prefer — but the VC-Turbo doesn’t distinguish itself in output or fuel economy. The engine’s 268 horsepower and 280 pounds-feet of torque are on par with competitors’ not-at-all-groundbreaking 2.0-liter turbo fours. Likewise, its manufacturer-rated 22/28/25 mpg city/highway/combined is mid-pack.

Trim Levels and Safety Features
Every 2025 QX55 comes with 360 degrees of active-safety features, including forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure prevention, blind spot intervention, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, rear parking sensors and automatic high beams.

Riding on 20-inch wheels, the entry-level Luxe trim also includes LED exterior lighting, a moonroof, a power liftgate, and keyless entry and starting. Inside, it features leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging and six speakers. A dual-screen setup handles infotainment, with 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower displays, Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi and voice recognition.

Stepping up to the Essential trim bolsters the advanced safety suite with adaptive headlights, front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera with moving object detection, traffic sign recognition and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Additional luxury features on the Essential include a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, navigation and a 16-speaker Bose audio system.

At the top of the line, the QX55 Sensory gets a hands-free power liftgate with a kick sensor, as well as upgraded semi-aniline leather, black open-pore wood trim, tri-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting and a head-up display.
