An Exciting New EV Charging Network

If you’re an electric vehicle (EV) owner or enthusiast, you’ll be thrilled to learn about the launch of a new EV charging network across Western Canada. Public charging network operator SureCharge Corp is rolling out a robust plan that includes up to 24 high-speed public charging sites featuring 96 Wallbox Supernova 180 kW DC fast chargers. This initiative aims to enhance the EV infrastructure and support a growing number of electric vehicle users.

Bridging Critical Charging Gaps

The newly proposed charging network will fill essential charging gaps along major travel corridors, effectively linking the northern, central, and southern regions of Alberta with British Columbia. This extensive coverage will not only benefit local travelers but also encourage road trips and reduce range anxiety for those with electric vehicles. Imagine cruising through beautiful landscapes without worrying about running out of power!

Government Support and Future Vision

The launch is bolstered by an impressive investment of over .7 million from the Government of Canada through Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program, along with an additional 0,000 from the Government of British Columbia. With SureCharge leading the charge and collaborating with Suretek Electric, this project heralds a significant step towards a greener future. Together, they aim to make EV ownership more convenient and accessible for everyone in the region.
