Back on Two Wheels: The Comeback Story

Fasten your helmets and prepare your sense of humor, because British rider Jonny Davies has sped back into the spotlight and reclaimed his title as the world’s fastest ‘high chair wheelie’ rider! After a glorious five-year hiatus, he rocketed to a jaw-dropping 127.047 mph at Elvington Airfield in York. Now that’s what I call putting the ‘fun’ in ‘dysfunctional’!

What’s a High Chair Wheelie Anyway?

For those left scratching their helmets, let me elucidate: a high chair wheelie is when a rider sits on the fuel tank like it’s a throne and dangles their legs over the handlebars while hoisting the front wheel into the glorious unknown. Think of it as the motorcycle equivalent of trying to balance a spoon on your nose — except exponentially faster and with significantly more danger!

New Records, New Ambitions

After setting the previous record a mere 109 mph, Jonny returned with powers activated and dreams of surpassing 130 mph in the near future. After all, who doesn’t want to go faster? Diving into a bit of rollercoaster drama, he faced challenging crosswinds and, oh dear, a little technical hiccup that turned off his traction control mid-sprint. A bit like when your iPhone updates in the middle of an important call—annoying! But fear not, our hero is already plotting his triumphant return for next year.

Jonny’s already tweaked his Kawasaki ZX-10R and is ready to once again leave speed limits in the dust. With aspirations of riding backwards into the record books, it seems that for Jonny Davies, the sky truly is the limit! Or at least, the next lap around the track.
