Introduction

The 2025 Genesis G80, a mid-size luxury sedan, has undergone a minor facelift and comes with various new features. The updates position the G80 to compete effectively against the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It will be available at a starting price of $58,350, which is a $2,700 increase from the previous model year.

Engine Options and Performance

The 2025 Genesis G80 offers two engine options. The standard version is equipped with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower and 311 pounds-feet of torque. The more powerful versions feature a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine generating 375 horsepower and 391 pounds-feet of torque. Both engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, which is now standard across all trims.

Styling and Interior Upgrades

The exterior of the 2025 Genesis G80 has been refreshed with new front and rear designs, complemented by newly designed wheels. Inside, the G80 boasts a refined interior with a 27-inch combination digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen. The improved interior aims to provide drivers and passengers with enhanced comfort and advanced technology.

Safety and Trim Levels

Safety remains a priority for the Genesis G80, with standard features like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-centering steering. Additionally, all models include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, and highway driving assist 2 for semi-autonomous driving capabilities. Trim levels range from the base 2.5t to the top-of-the-line 3.5t Sport Prestige, each offering a variety of luxury features and amenities, including heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic moonroof, and high-quality audio systems.

Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Genesis G80 will be available in dealerships within the next few weeks. Pricing details for various trims are as follows: 2.5t at $58,350, 2.5t Advanced at $63,150, 2.5t Sport Prestige at $69,600, 3.5t Sport Advanced at $70,850, and the 3.5t Sport Prestige at $78,250. All prices include a $1,250 destination charge.

The 2025 Genesis G80 offers a compelling mix of performance, luxury, and safety, making it a strong contender in the mid-size luxury sedan market.
