Introduction to the 2025 Ram ProMaster EV Lineup
The 2025 Ram ProMaster EV is making waves in the electric-commercial-van segment, which is becoming increasingly competitive. Following its launch last year, Ram is enhancing its offerings by introducing two new body variations, coupled with a significant drop in base pricing. This initiative aims to compete directly with established players like Ford’s E-Transit and Mercedes-Benz’s eSprinter.
New Configurations and Pricing Adjustments
Last year, the Ram ProMaster EV was limited to a single delivery step van model priced at $79,990. However, the new 2025 lineup sees the base price reduced by over $20,000, now starting at an impressive $58,490. The delivery model, now referred to as the step van model, has also benefited from a price reduction, dropping to $71,990. The new cargo variants are available in two setups, with lengths of 12 feet and 13 feet, featuring a sliding side door instead of the pocket door found in the previous model.
Performance and Charging Capabilities
Performance-wise, the 2025 Ram ProMaster EV showcases impressive capabilities. The cargo models boast a battery pack with 97.0 kWh of usable capacity, offering a range of up to 164 miles per charge. Additionally, the step van’s range for city driving has been improved to an estimated 180 miles. Charging efficiency is enhanced with a DC fast charger, capable of increasing the battery level from 20 to 80 percent in less than 55 minutes. Both models feature a singular electric motor, delivering 268 horsepower and 302 pound-feet of torque, with payload capacities reaching 3020 pounds for the cargo version.
