In a thrilling start to the MotoGP weekend at the Circuit of the Americas, Franco Morbidelli of the VR46 Ducati team topped the first practice session with an impressive lap time of 2.12.531 seconds. His performance highlighted his continued strong form on the GP24 Ducati, a bike that has clearly been working in his favor.
