Introduction to the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC350e

Earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz announced the arrival of the GLC-Class SUV’s new plug-in hybrid variant for 2025, named the GLC350e. This addition follows a significant overhaul of the GLC-Class for the 2023 model year. Now, Mercedes-Benz has released the pricing and range details of the GLC350e, which will exclusively run on electric power for up to 54 miles and start at $61,050.

Performance and Fuel Economy

Under the hood of the GLC350e lies a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 201 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with a 134-hp electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 313 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Mercedes-Benz claims a zero-to-60-mph time of 6.2 seconds. The hybrid system is supported by a 24.8-kWh battery, giving it an EPA-estimated all-electric range of 54 miles. The combined fuel economy is estimated at 60 MPGe in the city and 70 MPGe on the highway.

Charging and Trims

The GLC350e’s battery is capable of charging at up to 60 kW on a DC fast-charger, enabling it to reach a full charge in approximately 30 minutes. Like its gasoline counterpart, the plug-in hybrid variant offers three trims: standard, exclusive, and pinnacle. Standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a self-leveling suspension, and a keyless start system. The exclusive trim, priced at $62,700, adds a Burmester 3D surround-sound system, a 360-degree surround-view camera, and illuminated doorsills. The pinnacle trim, at $64,650, includes additional features such as a head-up display and heat and noise-insulating glass.

Design and Availability

Design-conscious consumers can also choose from an AMG line package and a night package. The GLC350e offers six wheel choices, two of which are exclusive to the plug-in hybrid model. As of now, the GLC350e is available at dealerships, with a starting price that places it around $10,000 higher than the gas-only GLC300.

Conclusion

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC350e plug-in hybrid combines performance, efficiency, and luxury, offering an impressive all-electric range and a suite of high-end features. With competitive pricing and advanced technology, the GLC350e is set to make a significant impact in the premium SUV market.
